Head of Engineering


Duties

The company now seeks an experienced Head of Engineering with ambitions to succeed in a challenging position. This role is leading both the mechanical and electrical engineering teams, implementing a rigorous repairs and maintenance regime and reducing production down time in order to ensure that we continue to produce top quality products for sale to our global customers.You will be part of the Senior Management team, making decisions and driving projects forward,achieving /maximizing profitability of the company,ensuring safe and efficient engineering and maintenance of the plant. You will develop and coach the engineering team to achieve K Pi's , implementing and capable of managing change.

Qualifications

  • You will have 5 years previous management experience in high volume heavy process manufacturing.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to influence effectively.
  • Experience of implementing and operating CMMS and a working knowledge of engineering software packages.
  • Ideally possess NEBOSH and be able to demonstrate strong health and safety management.
  • Educated to HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Experience with Process and SCADA  control Systems.

Apprentice Plant Operative.


Duties

This is an exciting opportunity to learn the Operations of a Biomass Power Plant Facility. You will undertake daily duties ti include assisting team members with the smooth running of operating the ancillary plant,steam and power generation equipment whilst always adhering to site rules. You will complete all reports and paperwork accurately,working to tight deadlines and ensuring that the plant operates at maxim efficiency output. You will understand and follow strict Health and Safety rules to company guild lines, you will also understand all Standard Operation Procedures, whilst maintaining a clean and tidy environment, you will also undertake relevant company training.

Qualifications

  • You will have a grade C/4 or above in English & Math's or at least ESOL Level  English.
  • Preferably hold an ICT Qualification as you will learn to operate SCADA.
  • Excellent Communicator.
  • Willing to undertake further training.
  • Ability to take a follow instructions.
  • Above all an excellent team player.

Monday to Friday 08.00 TO 16.00.

Duties

This is an exciting and variable role , working towards a great career opportunity within engineering. Working with an excellent team of Mechanical Engineers, assisting with all maintenance works within the rendering factory. You will be filling in daily log sheets for works carried out. Working to a high standard whilst complying with the Company's Health and Safety requirements.You will conduct Risk Assessments for works to be carried out,fault finding,repairing and installing new equipment,whilst ensuring production is not interrupted. Work areas must be clean and tidy after works have been completed. You will also undertake any relevant company training.

Duties

You will be responsible for monitoring , reporting and inspecting quality issues throughout the process,including production,equipment, machinery,hygiene, finished product and lab results. You will adhere to the quality manual and educate staff where necessary on best practice and complete factory paperwork ensuring the site is audit ready.

Qualifications

  • Oral / written English to at aleast GCSE Grade C/4.
  • Manufacturing Experience.
  • Must of held a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role.

Duties

You will be assisting the site foreman on daily basis,opening and closing the site, mixing Ash to certain specification,driving a bucket loader, forklift and 360 Excavator. You will also be controlling the weighbridge, maintaining the tidiness of the site assisting with unloading of vehicles and general duties as requested by JG pears colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Ideally you will have site experience.
  • Experience of driving site vehicles : ie Fork lift,Bucket loader and 360 excavator.
  •  Good oral English.

Shifts/Hours

Working hours are Monday to Friday 07.30 to 4.00 but this could change to 08..00 to 4.00 depending on the needs of the business.
